Current Projects

The number one goal of our organization is to raise
awareness.
The reason we have a "fear driven" educational policy is because
we are afraid. Afraid our children will not do well in life
and succeed and get a good job and get ahead.
So we start early;
are they learning to read on time, are they writing as well as the other
children in their class? We start worrying when we should be
letting them learn at their own pace.
It is not easy to let go of the fear that keeps us pushing
our children and inadvertently transferring our anxiety to them.
But we are running the risk of deadening our children's natural
love of learning,
and damaging our children's self image with all our fears.

We believe the fear of our childrens failure
is so great
that only the understanding that  pushing them,
can actually
lessen their chances of succeeding as adults,
will allow the fear to begin letting go of parents hearts.

This is what raising public awareness is about.
Getting this message out.

We also are involved in encouraging the activities that will help to round out
our children's education;
to encourage their creativity, and encourage their reading of children's
literature
that will lift them up and enrich them.

We have  team of volunteers that are working with Metro East Community
Media in Oregon to produce programming and
PSAs (Public Service Announcements) for this purpose:
Education without Fear
(which will be a talk show format)
due out this fall
Don't tell Mom
to take you to the movie, ask her to get you the book!
drawing young people to classics like the Narnia series
with a powerful dramatic reading  from a 10 year old-
- weekly -this began  at the end of June and will be up to
episode 6  on Aug. 1st -Part of The Magicans Nephew

The Value of Drawing (PSA)

Storydance- Choreography by the  children (PSA)

These programs are broadcast on cable channels 11 and 21 and then
uploaded to the world wide web.

Storydance started in 2008 as a local hands on project;
with a focus of giving school age children 6-14
the chance to make up their own
dances and choreography to dramatic classical music.
It started when we became aware that most ballet
dance classes were about learning steps and the opportunity to be creative
with it was gone by about age 7.

The more resources we have the more effective we can be...
